What it is
The Flame Towers are three curving skyscrapers shaped like tongues of flame — the main symbol of modern Baku. They echo Azerbaijan's historic nickname, the 'Land of Fire'.
The towers rise on a hill above the Old City and are visible from almost anywhere in the capital. At night their facades come alive with thousands of lights.

On the Flame Towers

After dark, the facades of the three towers become giant screens: tongues of flame run up them, the flag of Azerbaijan unfurls, and water pours down. The show is visible across the whole city.
About the facadeA symbol
In just a few years the Flame Towers became as much a calling card of Baku as the Maiden Tower. Azerbaijan's ancient fire found a modern form.
